Iraq: explosion near Mosque leaves 1 dead, 11 wounded


(MENAFN) On Saturday, reports said that an explosion occurred near the Abrar Mosque at Quds Square in Kirkuk province of Iraq.

Kirkuk police reported that one person died and 11 others including women and children got wounded as a result of the explosion.

Short after the explosion, another blast took place on Baghdad Avenue. Results of the incident were not immediately clear.

One other explosion occurred in Musela neighborhood. It is not clear yet if the attack carried out with a bomb-laden vehicle resulted in injuries or casualties.
