Turkey's fight against PPK in Iraq 'matter of timing': Interior Minister
(MENAFN) Turkey's military crackdown on the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Qandil in Iraq is "a matter of timing," Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu affirmed.
In an interview with private broadcaster CNNTurk, the Turkish minister stated "we can seize Qandil anytime we want. We have made our preparations on the Agri-Van-Igdir line. Our heroes will be in Qandil soon."
It comes after Prime Minister Binali Yildirim announced the Turkish military to have been stationed 30 km into northern Iraq.
Yildirim stated "our troops have been deployed in 30 km deep in northern Iraq. It's maybe beyond Qandil, Makhmur or Sinjar."
