Yemen: battles with rebels leave 28 dead

(MENAFN) Yemeni officials declared that tensed battles between pro-government forces and Shiite rebels have left over 28 people dead.

Government forces, supported with Saudi-led coalition air attacks, have stepped up along the western coast in the past few weeks as they fight the rebels called Houthis.

The officials added that the rebels have left 18 pro-government forces dead and injured 30 in an attack on the town of el-Faza.

Over 10 rebels have also died in the ambush.
