Algerian, Egyptian, Tunisian FMs discuss Libyan crisis
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ALGIERS, May 21 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri called on Monday for providing all necessary support for the Libyan people in order to help them overcome the crisis shattering their country.
Shukri, speaking to reporters at the airport following his arrival to participate in a meeting with Tunisia and Algeria over Libya, said it was crucially important to enable the Libyans solve their problems themselves through a roadmap that would restore stability, and achieve development and prosperity.
He said his visit was part of consultations with Algeria and Tunisia to help the Libyan people regain control over their institutions, which would ultimately support stability in the region.
Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaou, speaking to press after his arrival, called for collaboration of efforts to help Libya overcome its political crisis.
He said the meeting with his Egyptian and Algerian counterparts to discuss how to help the Libyans advance on the political process to end the crisis.
The Algerian Foreign Minister said earlier that minister Abdulqader Mesahel would be hosting the Tunisian and Egyptian top diplomats later today. (end) mr.bs
