Oman- Fuel station accidents down to 1 in 2017 from 9 in 2016
(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Petrol filling stations are considered to be high-risk sites, especially during the summer when temperatures are on the rise. The sites contain highly flammable materials that must be handled with caution to avoid the occurrence of accidents.
The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) has advised caution although the number of accidents at petrol filling stations has gone down considerably. While in 2016, nine accidents were registered, the year 2017 saw only one.
PACDA has urged all members of the society, petrol stations officials and workers at the petrol filling stations to comply with the safety requirements to prevent any untoward incident.
