Oman's envoy in Malaysia meets students who won gold medal


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Kuala Lumpur- H E sheikh al Abbas bin Ibrahim al Harthy, Oman's Ambassador to Malaysia, on Monday met student inventors Salim al Habsi and Mohammed al Habsi, who won the Gold medal at the 29th International Invention, Innovation and technology exhibition (ITEX 2018) in Malaysia.

The ambassador commended their achievement in the medical field and presented proposals for developing the project, indicating that the invention of the 'Smart Pharmaceutical System' will serve a large group, especially the elderly and people with visual impairment.

The student team 'Sumou' won the gold medal at the event which saw nearly 1,000 inventions from different countries of the world. The team includes students and graduates of Sultan Qaboos University representing various colleges.

The project is an integrated system that helps patients in general, and the elderly and the blind in particular to take their medication in the right way.
