Palestinians seek medical help as 41 people killed by Israeli gunfire

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, May 14 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Health Ministry on Monday aired an urgent medical appeal as 41 Palestinians were shot dead and nearly 2,000 others wounded by Israeli gunfire on the eastern border of the Gaza Strip.
"We launch an appeal to all concerned agencies for providing hospitals and medical centers with medicine and medical supplies immediately, since they are receiving hundreds of martyrs and wounded people due to the Zionist escalation in eastern Gaza," the ministry said in a press release.
It also urged Egypt to dispatch medical supplies and teams to Gaza hospitals, and to receive some of those wounded by Israeli gunfire, amid the increasing number of casualties.
The ministry even called on the international community, involving its humanitarian and relief agencies, to intervene to take some action in this regard.
Earlier, the ministry's spokesman was quoted as saying that 41 Palestinians, including six children, were killed and nearly 2,000 others, including reporters and medics, wounded. (Pick up previous) wab.mt
