Kuwait- Farwaniya tops other governorates in population density

KUWAIT CITY, May 8: Recent statistics of the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) indicate the majority of inhabitants in Ahmadi Governorate are Kuwaitis, while Farwaniya Governorate has the highest population of non-Kuwaiti, reports Al-Qabas daily.

It revealed the population of Kuwaitis in Ahmadi has reached about 290,000 as against 942,000 non- Kuwaiti inhabitants of Farwaniya. It stated Farwaniya tops other governorates in terms of population density such that a total of 1.175 million Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis live there.

The least populated governorate in Kuwait is Mubarak Al-Kabeer where only 262,000 Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis reside, said statistics.

Comparatively, the total number of residents in Capital Governorate is 573,000 of which 260,000 are Kuwaitis and the remaining 313,000 are non- Kuwaitis, while the population of Hawally is 947,000 constituting 233,000 Kuwaitis and 713,000 non-Kuwaitis.

The total population of Ahmadi is 985,000 comprising 290,000 Kuwaitis and 694,000 non-Kuwaitis. Kuwaitis make up 193,000 of the total population of 555,000 in Jahra Governorate, while their non-Kuwaiti counterparts are only 361,000. As regards high population of Kuwaitis in different areas, Sa'ad Al-Abdullah has the highest number of 63,000 Kuwaitis, and Sabah Al- Salem follows with 53,000 and Al- Sabahiya with 47,000 citizens.
