Jordan set to play key role in Syria, Iraq reconstruction


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, May 8 (Petra) -- Secretary of the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) Feridun Hartokah on Tuesday said Jordan will play an important role in the reconstruction of Syria and Iraq, noting that a number of international logistics companies are mulling investments in the Mafraq Development Zone.

Speaking at a meeting the JIC organized in cooperation with the Jordan Competitiveness Program, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Hartokah said the Mafraq Development Zone is set to see a major boost in investment activity in light of plans to build an airport in the area.

The meeting sought to highlight the investment environment in the Kingdom and the advantages and incentives offered by the government to investors.
