Jordan- Hopemakers Initiative launched at the Roman Amphitheater


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, May 6 (Petra)-The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, launched yesterday the initiative of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, "Hopemakers", at the Romanian Amphitheater in Amman, the largest of its kind in the Arab world.

On the occasion, Matar Al Shamsi, the UAE ambassador to Jordan, said the initiative aims at honoring stakeholders of humanitarian and community programs, who seek to help people voluntarily, improve quality of life in their communities and make a difference in people's lives.

Amman was picked among several Arab capitals to launch the initiative after it was earlier kicked off in Beirut, Cairo and Riyadh, Al Shamsi pointed out.

This initiative, he noted, comes simultaneous with plans to launch initiatives as projects in the services, infrastructure, energy fields in the Kingdom.

Minister of Tourism, Lina Ennab, for her part, said the bid eyes to entrench values of philanthropy and tolerance in the targeted societies and embodies a positive contribution to overcome cultural and social challenges.
