(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) By Abdullah Bouqas KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian diplomatic mission in Malaysia is seeking to dispatch corpse of slain Palestinian activist Fadi Al-Batsh to Gaza for burial.
Palestinian Ambassador to the nation, Anwar Al-Agha, indicated in remarks to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday that he and his staff were trying to arrange transfer of the body to his hometown, Jiblaya, in Gaza strip.
Egyptian authorities have expressed no objections to transfering the corpse through the border crossing point Rafah, he said.
Meanwhile, the local police chief said at a news conference that the body was still undergoing autopsy at a hospital in the Malaysia capital.
Local authorities have not determined whether he is member of the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas or whether the assailants have had affiliations with a foreign intelligence agency.
Al-Batsh was shot down by gunmen riding a motorcycle in the Malaysian capital early Saturday.
The slain Palestinian, who had PhD in electrical engineering, was also known as inventor of some appliances. (end) aib.rk
