Yemeni UAV targets UAE's position in Taiz

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, the UAV's of the Yemeni army targeted the positions of the UAE troops in the city of Mokha, Taiz Province, killing and wounding a number of Emirati and Saudi troops.

The Yemeni army drones pounded the UAE's Patriot anti-missile system deployed in the city.

Meanwhile the Yemeni army's missile unit filed missiles at Abu Maz military base in Jizan, Saudi Arabia Tuesday.

Yemen has been racked by violence since 2014, when Houthi rebels overran much of the country and the conflict escalated in 2015 when Saudi Arabia and its allies launched a devastating air campaign aimed at rolling back Houthi gains.

The ongoing violence has devastated basic services, including water and sanitation systems, prompting the UN to describe the situation in Yemen as one of "the world"s worst humanitarian disasters in modern times".
