(MENAFN) UAE's Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, Etisalat, was declared to have secured a deal with three international firms for the establishment of "the first global cyber security alliance."
The three companies were confirmed in an emailed statement to be Singapore's Singtel, Japan's Softbank and Spanish blue chip firm Telefonica.
Etisalat assured that the partnership "will be one of the world's biggest cyber security providers, with more than 1.2 billion customers in over 60 countries across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and the Americas."
It also said that by using joint resources, "the group can protect enterprises against the rising cyber security risks as the information security environment becomes increasingly complex."
