Qatari leader visits White House after 'funder of terror' denouncement
(MENAFN) Qatari leader Sheikh Tamim Al Thani has arrived at the White House hardly one year after President Trump described Qatar as a "funder of terror".
After greeting him to the White House, President Trump expressed admiration towards the leader for turning into a "big advocate" of tackling terrorist financing.
The US president further praised the Qatari leader, coloring him as a "great gentleman" and a "friend of mine".
President Trump was "very helpful" in providing Qatar with aid while the partial blockade was implemented, Qatar's leader noted after stressing how his authorities never did and never will stand "people who fund terrorism".
