Syrian government, Islam Army to commence negotiations


(MENAFN) The Syrian government is reportedly set for talks with the Islam Army rebels on Sunday for negotiations on the Douma crisis.

The Islam Army militants were reported by state TV to have requested the Syrian government for negotiations to be carried out.

The state TV further reported the government to be commencing talks with the militants in two hours.

It comes two days following a military shut down in Douma district east of Damascus, ever since the revels yielded on a preceding deal for their evacuation.
