Tunisia reduces trade deficit to USD1.5bn
(MENAFN) The National Institute of Statistics (INS) of Tunisia reported the country to have declined to around USD1.5 billion in its trade deficit during 2018's first quarter.
The reduction in Tunisia's trade deficit was explained to be a result of a considerable boost in export.
Tunisia has also recorded a 35.2 percent increase in exports, compared to USD4.3 billion in 2017, according to statistics.
Such increase was clarified by the INS to have been largely a result of boost in crude oil exports, along with agri-food exports including olive oil and dates.
