Former Catalan leader Puigdemont considers Belgium return
(MENAFN) Catalonia's former President Carles Puigdemont declared his plan to head back to Belgium when German legal measures are concluded.
The former leader once again urged for talks to be held with Spain during a speech at a press conference one day after he was bailed out.
It comes one month after his imprisonment in northern Germany while heading to Belgium from Denmark.
However, German courts are yet looking into the option of extraditing former president Puigdemont to Spain, since he is requested on sedition charges.
