Lebanese minister slams Israeli threats "groundless"

(MENAFN) On Monday, Minister of State for Administrative Development Inaya Ezzeddeen labeled the threats of the Israeli enemy to launch an offensive on Lebanon groundless.

"The threats of the Israeli enemy to strike Lebanon are nothing but words of the helpless and the frightened, because those who are confident of their combat and their military capabilities do not need to kill and destroy," Ezzeddeen stressed, the NNA reported.

Ezzeddeen, whose words came in the wake of a political ceremony in South Lebanon, added that the equation of the people, army and resistance will defend Lebanon's right to its land and sea.

"The Israeli threats against Lebanon are a call for murder and criminality, a fact that requires the prosecution of Israeli officials around the world, as they pose a threat to the regional and global peace," Ezzeddeen concluded.
