Kuwait to execute couple in Filipina maid murder case
(MENAFN) A Kuwaiti court has handed a Lebanese man and his Syrian wife an execution sentence for murdering a Filipina housemaid,as her case sparked a diplomatic conflict between the Philippines and Kuwait.
The Al Qabas newspaper declared that the couple were found guilty in charges of "murdering the Filipina maid and placing her corpse in the freezer"
Joanna Daniela Demafelis' corpse was discovered in the couple's apartment freezer in Hawally,a residential district of Kuwait with a huge number of emigrants.
The rule occurred a year after her death.
