Jordan- State Security Court issues rulings in 13 terror cases


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Mar. 28 (Petra)-The State Security Court (SSC) on Wednesday held public hearings and issued 13 rulings in cases linked to promotion of terrorist groups' ideology, attempts to join them, and plotting to carry out terror acts.

The defendants were sentenced to two to 15 years' hard labor in jail.

Also on a public hearing, the court decided to acquit 11 suspects of promoting ideology of terrorist organizations and groups, who are already serving imprisonment sentences on other charges at rehabilitation centers.

On another case, the court decided to adjourn the trial of the three defendants, including a woman in the armed robbery case of Al-Dhulail post office in Az-Zarqa governorate last February to next Wednesday, and managed to steal JD23.5 thousand and $ 900.

The state security court began to try the three suspects today, and the defendants denied the charges.
