KSA, UAE grant support for UN efforts in Yemen
(MENAFN) The UN has received USD930 million in aid from Saudi Arabia and the UAE to support Yemen amid a violent conflict between a Saudi-led military coalition and Yemen's Shi'ite rebels.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has been granted the aid from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as both leaders held talks on Yemen crisis.
While expressing gratitude to Prince Mohammed, the UN official noted "on the other hand, we know that there is no humanitarian solution for humanitarian problems."
He further added "the solution is political, and we are entirely at your disposal to work together to find a political solution when that becomes possible."
