(MENAFN) Defending Palestinian workers was one of the main issues that were agreed on in the cooperation and partnership agreement signed by the three trade unions from Morocco, Sudan and Bahrain.

The agreement took place in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, on Tuesday, between the National Labour Union in Morocco, the Sudanese Workers' Trade Union Federation, and the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation.

Aiming at exchanging experiences and expertise in the organizational, professional, demand, right-defence fields, as well as in the culture of labour union, the agreement, which Anadolu News Agency obtained a copy of, was signed by Abdelilah Al-Halouti, Secretary General of the National Labour Union in Morocco, Youssef Abdel Karim, President of the Sudanese Workers' Trade Union Federation, and Yacoub Youssef Mohammed, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation.

The agreement provides for "coordination of efforts and initiatives on the Arab, African, and international levels to defend the Palestinian cause in general and Palestinian workers in countries of asylum in particular to help them overcome the legal obstacles imposed on them in some countries of asylum and to provide their working rights guaranteed by international charters and laws."

It also provides for "taking the initiatives that contribute to alleviating the suffering of this category of the heroic Palestinian people."
