Danish Red Cross Goodwill Ambassador to visit Jordan this week


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, March (Petra)-- Danish Red Cross Goodwill Ambassador, Torbjorn Pedersen, is scheduled to visit Jordan this week in his multi-country trip around the world, a Jordan Red Crescent Society (JRCS) statement said Monday.

Since October 2013, Pedersen has visited reached 144 countries by means of public transportation and completely without flying. A journey which has covered 190,000 km already.

For each country he reached, Pedersen has paid a visit to the National Societies promoting their entire work, some visits can be found on various federation webpages today.

The journey, which symbolically links together the societies190 (191) National Societies, began on October 2013. There are 3 cardinal rules for his journey to every country in the world which are no flights are permitted under any circumstances, a visit to a country must be more than 24 hours and that Mr. Pedersen cannot return home until he reaches the last country, the statement pointed out.
