Hanoi, Rajab 6, 1439, Mar 23, 2018, SPA -- South Korean president Moon Jae In agreed with his Vietnamese counterpart to boost bilateral trade to 100 billion dollars by 2020 during a state visit to Hanoi.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday in the Vietnamese capital alongside Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, Moon said that he told Quang that close ties would help boost Vietnam as it expands its economy, one of the fastest growing in the world.
"I emphasized that close and mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries will greatly contribute to achieving our mutual goal of reaching 100 billion dollars in mutual trade by 2020," dpa quoted Moon as saying.
South Korea is currently Vietnam's largest foreign investor and second-largest trading partner. Bilateral trade stood at 61.5 billion dollars in 2017.
