Egypt's Sisi: "USD2 trillion needed to build Egypt"

(MENAFN) Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stated that he needed USD2 trillion to build Egypt.

These remarks came only days ahead of Egypt's presidential election set for later March.

In an interview with Egyptian director, Sandra Nashaat, Sisi said he needed USD2 trillion to build Egypt.

This is an apparent reference to his intention to ask the Egyptians to provide this amount after winning a second term, or to prevent them from demanding to improve their situation.

Sisi has always raised the issue of the country's needs to lower the people's expectations with every election, however this time he did not even present a specific election program as he did in 2014 when he won over his rival, Hamdine Sabbahi.
