
Kuwait welcomes Ukraine's initiative on peacekeeping mission in Donbas
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this during his visit to Kuwait, the president's press service reported on Sunday evening.
"We feel very strong and powerful support of Kuwait in the international organizations. Kuwait is now a member of the UN Security Council together with Sweden," the President said.
The Head of State also held a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Sweden on Sunday.
"Two members of the UN Security Council clearly emphasized that they would firmly support the initiative of Ukraine, the Ukrainian President in making decisions on mandating peacekeepers to restore peace in Donbas and on the first security package aimed to restore sovereignty and territorial integrity," Poroshenko said.
As reported, President Petro Poroshenko is on an official state visit to Kuwait on March 18-19.
