Qatari, Italian naval forces start joint exercise
(MENAFN) Qatari news agency (QNA) has reported both Qatar and Italy's naval forces to have launched a joint drill within Qatari territorial waters.
The joint exercise was reportedly conducted with the Qatari missile boat Al Debal along with the Italian frigate Carlo Margottini.
The move was confirmed to have been carried out to be in line with the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX).
Naval Operations Center Marine's commander Brig. Gen. Mubarak Rashid Al Sulaiti stated "the methodology of exercises and training among the forces evolves as strong relations between the two friendly countries develop."
