Saudi- UN: Tens of Thousands Displaced in Afrin, Up to 16,000 Leave Ghouta

United Nations, Jumada II 29, 1439, Mar 17, 2018, SPA -- The United Nations said an estimated 12,000-16,000 people have left Syria's eastern Ghouta in recent days, while fighting in the northern Afrin region has reportedly displaced more than 48,000.
Linda Tom, a spokeswoman for the U.N. humanitarian affairs office (OCHA) in Syria, added: "Today, hundreds of people in eastern Ghouta reportedly continued to leave."
