Italian police detains possible extremist
(MENAFN) Police have detained man,aged 24,for the possession of offensive items after FBI marked him as a potential extremist in Italy.
FBI had notified the police in the central Italian city of Viterbo that the suspect had cheered the vehicle attack on a cycling path in New York City,which left eight people dead,on social media,before the police searched the man's home.
The man,whose identity hasn't been revealed,was detained for the charge of possessing explosive material as the authorities still search for another potential charges.
Police confirmed that they have captured two air pistols.
