UAE- Sheikh Mohamed's visit best day of my life: Yemeni poet

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A prominent Yemeni poet and folk artist, currently receiving medical treatment in Abu Dhabi, said the visit paid to him on Sunday by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, was the greatest day of his life.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed visited the Yemeni man and wished him a quick and speedy recovery, after having a heart procedure.

"I don't have words to express my state of joy and happiness," Fadhel Mahmoud Saleh told Khaleej Times. "When Sheikh Mohamed came to check how I was doing, it was the best day of my life. It was even greater than the day I got married and had children," added the 60-year-old.

Heartwarming images of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visiting the patient circulated social media platforms.

The poet has been admitted for the heart procedure at Burjeel Hospital in the Capital since March 8, which was also his 60th birthday. "My birthday is special because it also celebrates International Women's Day," he laughed.

Saleh, whose three sons have accompanied him to Abu Dhabi, pointed out that he is already feeling better and is expected to leave the hospital today.

The poet and artist told Khaleej Times that he wants to thank the UAE government, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed in particular, for his care and support and for his visit. "I also want to thank the Red Crescent," he added.
