(MENAFN) Omani authorities have arrested a local man on charges of robbery and assault in Al Buraimi, the Royal Oman Police announced.
The man assaulted a civil servant and stole records of transactions from the Directorate General of Housing, according to authorities.
An official source at ROP said to Times of Oman, "Al Buraimi police have arrested an Omani national accused of stealing records of transactions from the Directorate General of Housing in the province of Buraimi, after he assaulted one of the staff [members] and escaped to an unknown destination."
The accused was shortly arrested. The source added, "The search and investigation efforts resulted in the location and arrest of the accused
The suspect has been referred to the judicial authorities.
