Russia: over 50 civilians evacuate from Syria's eastern Ghouta


(MENAFN) Over 50 civilians managed to escape from the unrest eastern Ghouta suburbs of Syria's capital Damascus,according to the Russian army.

Maj. Gen. Vladimir Zolotukhin from the Russian center for reconciliation of Syria's warring parties declared that :"Today, 52 civilians, including 26 children, were brought from eastern Ghouta,"

An aimless campaign of the government and Russian air attacks and bombing has shot nearly 1,100 civilians dead civilians in rebel-held eastern Ghouta in the last three weeks.

The number of civilians locked in the siege reached 400,000,as stated by the UN.
