Palestinian gov't warns against establishing tents near Ibrahimi Mosque

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, March 9 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian government on Friday cautioned that some settlers erected tents in the Ibrahimi Mosque compound in Al-Khalil city, or Hebron.

Establishing the tens by settlers in the Ibrahimi Mosque is an additional occupation made under the protection of the Israeli government led by extremists, spokesman for the Palestinian government Yousef Al-Mahmoud said in a press remark.

He referred to continued violations of sanctities by the Israeli occupation forces through breaking into Al-Aqsa Mosque and preventing Muslims from reaching the Ibrahimi Mosque, and other violations.

He called on the international community, organizations and agencies to reject and condemn violations of sanctities committed by the Israeli forces in Palestine.

He also urged all these institutions to put pressures on Israel in order to implement laws pertaining to the halt of such attacks and violations.
