Pakistan- PTI wants someone from Balochistan as chairman Senate: Imran Khan

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Wednesday that his party will try its best to make sure that Senate chairman was not from the ruling party. He said that PTI wanted to see someone from Balochistan as chairman of the upper house of Parliament.

Speaking to media in Peshawar, the PTI chief said PTI would take all out efforts to thwart Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz attempt to make its own candidate as chairman Senate.

He alleged that PML-N party's only objective has been to save the corrupt Sharif family. He said that PTI would hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss whose name they want to give as Senate chairman.

Regarding the alleged horse-trading in the Senate elections, Khan said that the current system of secret ballots promotes the buying and selling of votes.
