After losing the first T20I of the Nidahas Trophy to hosts Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma led India bounced back in style to thrash Bangladesh by 6 wickets in the second T20I.

The victory means India have kept their 100% win-record intact against Bangladesh in T20Is, winning all the 6 encounters.

Here is the match report and important statistics.

Rohit Sharma opts to bowl first
India win toss

Rohit Sharma, who won the toss, decided to go with an unchanged side and opted to bowl first.

India got off to a great start with Unadkat dismissing Soumya Sarkar in the 3rd over followed by Shardul Thakur dismissing the dangerous Tamim Iqbal, leaving the Tigers at 35/2.

However, Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das steadied the ship for Bangladesh.

Liton Das was dropped twice
3 time lucky

It's not often that you see a fielder of Suresh Raina's capability drop a sitter.

A rare drop catch from Raina spared Liton Das and the next ball he was again dropped, this time by Washington Sundar.

Vijay Shankar was robbed of his maiden international wicket twice.

The drama didn't end there, in the next over Liton survived a run-out attempt.

Set 140 target

Vijay Shankar, however, couldn't be denied wickets for too long.

The all-rounder struck twice to send Mushfiqur Rahim and captain Mahmudullah back to the dressing room.

But Sabbir Rahman ensured that the scoreboard kept ticking before Unadkat finally got him and made light work of the tail end.

Bangladesh scraped to 139/8 and India were up for the challenge.

Bowlers disappoint while Raina continues his dream comeback

Indian bowlers gave away 11 wides and 2 no balls, thereby, bowling 22 overs. Suresh Raina became the third Indian after Yuvraj Singh (74) and Rohit Sharma (69) to smash 50 sixes in T20Is.

Dhawan and Raina guide India to win

In reply, India started well but lost Rohit and Pant early.

However, with in-form Shikhar Dhawan at the crease along with T20 specialist Suresh Raina, no target seems too big.

The left-hand duo sent the bowlers on a leather hunt and taking India to a comfortable 6 wicket victory over their neighbours.

Dhawan scored 55 while Raina pitched in with his 28-run knock.

Dhawan is in red-hot form

Dhawan's fifty is his 4th fifty in his last 8 innings. Dhawan has scored 80, 1, 6, 72, 24, 47, 90 and 55 in his last 8 T20Is. Interestingly, out of 6 matches Rohit Sharma has captained, India have won 5.
