Syrian Arab army liberates 3 more regions in E. Ghouta

(MENAFN) As Eastern Ghouta battle has entered a crucial stage, the Syrian Arab army continued to capture more territories after militants were ousted from almost 40% of Ghouta.

The army men drove terrorists out of al-Ash'ari farms West of the town of Hawsh al-Ash'ari in their night operation.

The army troops also seized the farmland area near the militant-held towns of Mesraba and Beit Sawa.

The sources further said to Fars News that recent advances have enabled the army to liberate three strategic regions in Eastern Ghouta.

The sources added that the Syrian Army will most likely start a new phase of its military operation on Masraba, Beit Sawa and Hawsh Al-Ashari in order to tighten the grip on militant groups.

The Syrian Army troops carried out a heavy attack on terrorists' positions in the early hours of Tuesday and seized control over a main part of a key settlement in Eastern Ghouta.

The army units kicked off a fresh wave of attacks on terrorists in early Tuesday and managed to advance against the militants in the depth of al-Reihan settlement, driving the terrorists out of a large part of the settlement.

A military analyst said that if the army men free al-Reihan, they will open their path to the Eastern direction of the key town Douma after years of terrorists' occupation.
