Jordan- Interior minister meets Lebanese counterpart, NAUSS president


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Mar. 6 (Petra) -- Interior Minister, Samir Mubaidain held Tuesday separate meetings with his Lebanese counterpart Nuhad Machnouk and President of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), Abdulmajeed ben Abdullah Albunayan.

Both meetings were held on the sidelines of the 35th session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Algeria.

An Interior Ministry statement said Mubaidain and his Lebanese counterpart reviewed ways to bolster ties between Jordan and Lebanon as well as a number of Middle East developments.

The two ministers discussed mutual cooperation in security fields, as well as combating crime, terror and drugs, by using advanced technologies, training and exchanging of expertise, visits programs and information.

In another meeting with President of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), Abdulmajeed ben Abdullah Albunayan, Mubaidain stressed the need to continue support the NAUSS's role in safeguarding the Arab society from crime and hailed the role of the university in the security domain.
