(MENAFN- The Conversation) My research focuses on issues related to carnivore conservation and management, including but not limited to; conservation biology, population monitoring, ecology, conservation policy and ecosystem function and services.
In my current research I address several issues related to carnivore conservation biology, ecology and conservation. My research is framed in the context of humans as drivers of carnivore change while I simultaneously address the impact of carnivores on human activities and natural ecosystems. The majority of my research is therefore conducted in human-dominated and transformed lands (e.g. ago-ecological matrixes, industrial sites, game farms) which provide unique opportunities to study ecological theory. I also have become interested in small mammal population ecology (in ago-ecosystems) as well as disease ecology, and how predation can affect these.
