GCC's IPO records major boost with USD2.5bn revenues


(MENAFN) The GCC has reportedly recorded a boom in IPO during 2017 last quarter, with eight initial public subscriptions from five subscriptions in 2016.

The subscriptions' total revenues have scored USD2.5 billion, a USD2.3 billion boost from USD234 million in 2017's third quarter.

The number of IPOs and revenues has reportedly witnessed a drastic boost, seeing how it settled at USD37 million in one offering during 2016's last quarter.

The Gulf Cooperation Council's IPO activity was also confirmed to have had at the top the Dubai Financial Market and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, with USD2.2 billion in two key offerings, a total GCC proceeds that stood at 88 percent.
