Saudi Arabia arrests 22 drug smuggling suspects


(MENAFN) A spokesman declared that 22 suspects have been arrested by the Saudi Arabian officials, as over 400 kilograms of drugs have been captured.

The spokesman added "the guards in the southern border (Jizan, Najran and Asir) foiled an attempt to smuggle hashish and heroin into the country."

The 22 arrests included 11 Ethiopians, ten Yemenis and one Saudi citizen.

The suspects reportedly were seized with 356 kilograms of hashish and 42 kilograms of heroin.
