Egypt's Petroleum Minister discusses FAJR oil project


(MENAFN) Egypt's Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek El-Molla discussed the projects of Egyptian-Jordanian FAJR Company which are under construction and they include building gas line with 55 kilometres length.

This new line will allow transferring gas from north of Jordan to electricity plants starting from 2020.

Fajr Egypt is presently preparing technical and economic studies that are connected to transfer and distribute natural gas, providing industry facilities, and homes in Aqaba, said the chairman Ahmed Mahmoud.

The company also completed procedures to provide Samra Electric Power plant and Hussein Thermal Station with gas, Mahmoud added, concluding that large industrial cities in Jordan are being provided by gas.
