Qatar takes part in Arab Labor Organization's Board meet

Baghdad: Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs H E Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi presided over Qatar's delegation to the 88th session of the Board of Directors of Arab Labor Organization (ALO) being held in Baghdad.

The meeting discussed following up on the implementation of the decisions of the Board of Directors' previous session and discussing a report on Israeli settlements and their economic and social effects on the Palestinian territories and the labour sector.

The board reviewed the financial position of the ALO, the reports of the financial supervisory authority, the draft ALO's action plan and the financial budget, in addition to reports on the outcomes of the work of the committee of legal experts, the committee on freedom of association and the committee on women's affairs, and topics to be presented by the Arab Group at the ILO Conference in Geneva during its upcoming 107th session scheduled for next June.
