Pakistan- Supply of free textbooks completes in schools of 7 KP districts
(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board has started providing free textbooks ahead of the start of new academic year at the schools.
The KP Textbook Board said in a statement that 55.5 million books have been printed for the students of the schools from primary to higher secondary level in KP, while 5.3 million books have been printed for the FATA students. It said the printing of the books cost Rs3.15 billion.
According to the statement, the supply of textbooks has been completed in seven districts of KP including Tank, Dera Ismail Khan and Lakki Marwat, and supply to the remaining 18 districts will complete by the end of March.
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has also recommended its affiliated institutions to get help from the KP education curriculum. The FBISC has sent a communique to its affiliated educational institutions to utilise the curriculum of 2006 for first year and second year (Intermediate) for Urdu, Physics and English. These institutions have been directed to take help from the KP curriculum in this regard.
