Oman- MoH conducts hand injuries workshop
MoH was represented by the Department of Hospital Affairs and Specialised Medical Centres at the Directorate General of Specialised Medical Care.
The event was held in the presence of Dr Kadhim Jaffar, director general of Specialised Medical Care, stated a press release.The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Hand Surgery Department and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Khoula hospital, the Omani Society for Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, and the Omani Society for Surgery of the Hand. Around 90 emergency, surgery and general physicians, and physiotherapists from Khoula, The Royal and other hospitals in different governorates took part.
The workshop aimed at improving hand injuries treatment services in all hospitals and training participants on the examination of injured hands, different types of hand injuries in addition to identifying cases that require transfer to the tertiary medical care hospitals.
