UAE to Turkey travelers up to 29 percent

(MENAFN) The number of visitors from the UAE to Turkey has increased by almost 29% in the former year compared to 2016, according to the latest data released by the Turkish Consulate General Cultural and Information Office in Dubai, on the visitor statistics GCC countries to Turkey.

While 38,315 Emirati travelers from the UAE landed in one of Turkey's many international airports in 2016, in the following year, this number increased to 49,360 visitors.

"Turkey's appeal to GCC travelers continues to grow year after year. Most of these travelers come to Turkey as tourists, medical tourists or business guests looking to invest in the country's many lucrative economic opportunities," said Salih Ozer, Attache of Culture and Information, Turkey to the UAE.

It's worth mentioning that one of the reasons behind this growth is the offer Turkish airlines presented to their customers in the UAE at the beginning of 2018, which enabled them to enjoy a discount of up to 60% on flights to major cities across Europe, The United States and Canada.
