Jordan receives "Best Regional Smart ID" award in Poland


(MENAFN) Jordan has been awarded with the prize of the Best Regional ID Document of the year 2018, reported Roya New.

The results were unveiled during the High Security Printing Conference EMEA organized by Reconnaissance International, during Feb.19-21, at the Polish capital, Warsaw, on Wednesday.

The Civil Status and Passport Department (CSPD) Director Fawaz Shahwan received the award and confirmed that Jordan does not live in isolation from global development.

He said that King Abdullah II attaches great prominence to e-governance as exemplified by the Digital Jordan 2020 initiative.

Ministry of interior said on their website that "Jordan's Ministry of Interior has rolled out an ambitious new citizen ID program offering a range of innovative services that will transform the way the public interacts with the state. The new program has been implemented in collaboration with the country's Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT)."
