DUBAI, 22nd February, 2018 (WAM) -- H.H. sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, crown prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has stated that innovation in government services strengthens the UAE's developmental dive.
"The UAE Innovation Month reflects the vision of the Vice President, Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to turn innovation into a way of life to ensure a better future for the UAE people and their children."
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan made the remarks while launching UAE Innovation Month in Dubai earlier today. The activity will continue until 28th February, in the presence of general managers and representatives of government and private departments.
"Innovation is the key value for future communities and is a means of achieving our goals to be pioneers and ensure leadership across all international competitiveness indexes. Our creative contributions corroborate our success in establishing a culture of innovation among government institutions and individuals," Sheikh Hamdan said.
He stressed that creative initiatives and ideas will help improve government performance and boost happiness among different society segments, while adding that establishing the culture of innovation begins from early childhood.
Sheikh Hamdan praised the related activities that address children and urge them to adopt innovative thinking.
He also reviewed the prototype of a 19-seat Hyperloop, which was demonstrated by the Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, in Dubai, in co-operation with the Virgin Hyperloop One, with a length of 18 metres, a width of around 4 metres, and a height of around 4.5 metres.
UAE Innovation Month in Dubai aims to demonstrate best innovative practices and solutions in government work and encourage the private sector and societal institutions to adopt them, in line with Dubai's efforts to achieve progress and create a series of programmes and initiatives that encourage community members to be innovative.
The General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai is organising the event's fourth week's key activities at the City Walk, in co-operation with its strategic partners.
