UNICEF initiates 'Every Child Alive' campaign
(MENAFN) UNICEF has introduced its international campaign titled "Every Child Alive" that aims to seek answered in place of infants around the world.
UNICEF Nepal has explained in its statement that 27 out of 1,000 newborns don't make it to see another day within low-income countries.
It also confirmed that infants who are born in conflict zones are 50 percent more likely to face death, while newborns from secure countries are more likely to survive.
The statement suggested "these deaths can be prevented with access to well-trained midwives, along with proven solutions like clean water, disinfectants, breastfeeding within the first hour, skin-to-skin contact and good nutrition."
