(MENAFN)The Lebanese army chief said on Monday that the Lebanese army will use all available means to counter any possible "Israeli aggression" at any cost.
"I reiterate today our categorical rejection of the Israeli enemy's violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and its sacred right to invest all its economic resources," army commander General Joseph Aoun was quoted as saying on Twitter.
"The army will not provide an available means to deal with any Israeli aggression, no matter how much it costs and sacrifices."
US diplomats mediate between the two countries after rising tension over an Israeli-built border wall and Lebanon's decision to explore gas and oil near a disputed maritime area.
