Israel violates Lebanon's airspace to bomb Syria


(MENAFN) The Lebanese Minister of Defense, addressing the participants at the Munich Security Conference, discussed the Israeli violation of Lebanon's airspace to Syria.

Yacoub Sarraf said that Israel had not conducted any operation in southern Lebanon, but instead had used Lebanese airspace to bomb Syria, reports Al-Jazeera chain.

"The big countries should ensure the rule of law and be active in solving the problems of the region. Lebanon is working for peace, but will not stand idly by the threats of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu," he added.

Unlike Israel, daily violates resolution 1701 ending the 33-day war, Lebanon remains firmly attached to it.

The 54th Munich Security Conference which started February 16 and ended on Suday, hosted dozens of officials and diplomats to talk about fields of security.
